I see you've invested not only in shoe trees, but also in a Persian rug and servants to place it in front of you as you walk. Your shoes will thank you.

Invest in a driver as well, your servants will thank you.

I question though whether it would be advisable to get flush mounted toe taps as an "after market" addition. I have it done by the maker with my MTO shoes, but I've heard that after market jobs can end up damaging the shoe.

This is what I would do. This is also why I buy all my high-end shoes slightly used. Otherwise I'd be afraid to wear them!

Couldn't agree more - I would recommend buying a large, antique vitrine to display them in. Whatever you do, don't wear them outside.

Yes. These definitely have started to change my mind about G+G. AT first i thought it was too "fashiony" especially compared to EG, but their designs are really growing on me. Great kicks.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
