White shirt, black knit tie with gold dots, black shoes and belt. That is how I wear mine most of the time.

My first piece of advice would be, don't get a white suit, at least not dead white. If you must get white, get cream or off white.

My second would be, please no black shoes. I don't know what Matt is thinking, he usually knows what he is doing.

What color shoes would you wear? BTW, when I say "most of the time" it is a bit of a joke, since I've had a cream/white suit in my closet for 2.5 years now and never worn it once.

Anything would be better than black. Tan. Mid brown. Chestnut. Bandaid. Dark brown. Burg shell. White. Specs. Anything but black.

I 2nd the idea regarding off white or cream. For shoes I say spectators with some variation of tan, maple or cream or any combination of the above.

This looks over designed. I like modern designs but this comes across as too much for me. I hate the piping on the breast pocket.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
