I really like the piping on the lapels, and also the lapels themselves. Not so keen on the pocket piping but it does work on the sleeves. I'd suggest going with cream or ivory rather than pure white too.

I like the idea of white suits, but as in a thread I once posted on the topic I'm bothered by the fact that the construction (lining, seam allowances, etc) can often be seen through the fabric. I find this too off-putting to wear white suits, otherwise I'd be there all the time.

Regardless of what you do with a white suit, don't forget to get a house with a wraparound porch in the South. Sit on a rocking chair and say "It's good to own land" while drinking an iced tea.

Had to fix that up for you there a bit.

White suit is tricky - too bright. Cream/ivory/etc are much more versatile - I have a couple I wear occasionally in the summer months. I think they're fun.

No pure white outerwear or tailored clothing is one of the rare pieces of sartorial advice my dad ever told me. He said that it looks too much like the uniform of a health care professional or service staff. I'm pretty sure he was right. I also noticed recently that he does not button his button-down collars.
