While I wouldn't buy any RTW shoe I hadn't first tried on, either, there's nothing ugly about those shoes. And they're better made than any C&J I've ever seen.

split toes ugly? well, to each his own, i personally love split toes especially the more exotic ones with the split toe being longer

A lot of split toes are really ugly, but those are niiiice, but I think it's because split toes have been growing on me lately . . . proly going to get some soon . . .
