I’m at my third Woolrich artic parka and I think they are hard to beat as they are super warm plus can be dressed up a little too. I highly recommend them as a heavy winter coat. I got roughly 5 years of daily winter wear (dec/Jan/feb) out of my first two. Still decently looking after that but you can tell the down has become less plump.

I’m not sure you could dress up a Canada goose, more like pure functional gear but I’m super their are super good at keeping you toasty. I just prefer by far the look of Woolrich.

Main concern is quality. They closed down production in the U.S couple years ago. Everything's made in China now and prices as as high as ever. Thoughts? Presumably you bought yours when they were made in the US.

Confusingly there is also Woolrich EU that is more luxe. I have one of their Arctic parkas and it’s very good. Coyote fur ruff, extremely warm , horn buttons etc. Sizing is small though (at least on mine, not sure what year). I sized up to XXL and normally wear a L in everything 40 suit.

Interesting, don't think I'd even be able to get that online. All I can order in the US is the American (Chinese) version online on woolrich.com
