Another vote for Port Chrono. Just make sure you're comfortable with a leather strap in hot weather if this will be your only watch. If value retention is a concern, buy it used. Just be aware that the high-end replica of this watch is pretty damn good (aside from the movement dying). I'm not sure I could tell the difference even if I were holding both of them in my hands.

I'm not a big fan of the air king as it looks to plain to me. For rolex, I prefer the Submariner as a more versatile watch.

Whatever you go with, I'd strongly recommend trying them on to see what looks better on your wrist, if possible.

Well, the IWC is the "smarter" and a sophisticated watch in the bunch. But Omega is robust and may be a bit sturdier than the rest.

Air King is a bit small but also lives a very long age.

But then again Rolex is universally recognised (but so is Omega).

You may get exotic bezels on the Omega (orange vs. black) or a nice dial on the Air king (blue) depending on what you want.

Check out TimeZone site and e-bay in terms of price retention.

Anyway, to save money buy the watch on a metal band and buy the strap later on (as it's cheaper this way).

IWC all the way.

As far as durability and robustness is concerned I can assure you that Rolex and IWC are equally durable as Omega.
