I'm not sure there is any difference other than the glass bottle, which is enough to make a Coke exponentially better IMO.

I am surprised nobody knows the answer. The differnce is American coke uses HFC while other countries, such as Mexico, use sugar. The taste is noticeable. It's a different kind of sweetness. Some people say sweeter. You can get Mexican coke at Costco for about $20 a palette/case.
