Just finished S04 of The Expanse. It was a let down after S03.

I think it is because they get hit with multiple crazy plot lines, but it never felt like there was much tension: they were always going to make it through.

4 was the weakest but season 3 was the best of all IMO.

I'm giving Alice in Borderland a shot...
Not sure how much I like it after just 2 episodes.
And I'm thinking, why don't they just wear mirrors on the top of their heads?

Caught season one with my daughter. She loves the genre. It wasn't great but not bad at all. I'll mention the mirror thing. It will instantly irritate her.

I know...

The creator said something like, "we didn't know it would be popular or we would have done it sooner"

Unsure if this qualifies as a hot take, but through 3 episodes, far and away my favorite part of Band of Brothers is the intro snippets of the veterans giving their insights.
The show, if nothing else, confirmed to me* that I'd make for one truly dogshite soldier.

*not exactly breaking news, admittedly.

Shadow & Bone is dead; no surprise, but still kinda disappointing.
Read that...
I remember liking season 1, but for some reason I lost interest mid season 2.
I forgot which countries were which, who was who, what they were fighting about, and just didn't find motivation to stick with it.

Season 2 just wasn’t well done.

Bummer because the later books in the series were great. They tried to work some of it into s1 and s2, but it just didn’t work right and they didn’t quite get there.

I think I remember reading that S1 was based on two books, but that S2 used four or five. Personally, I liked S1 and thought it was well done, but S2 was kinda chaotic and overloaded. I liked it, mostly, but not as much as the previous season.

Caught the first episode of "The Curse". Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie are clearly smart and talented. They've created a tremendously funny show that is so uncomfortable to watch.
