If you're willing to go used, you may be able to get the Harbeth p3esr or Rogers/KEF ls3/5a, spiritual predecessors to the KEF LS50.

Passive or active? Active, the KEF LS50 Wireless II. Passive, there is a large selection, but consider ELAC UniFi Reference UBR62, Vandersteen VLR, Omega Speaker Systems Compact Alnico Monitor (full-range), KEF R3, ELAC Vela BS 403 (sale at Crutchfield), Martin-Logan Motion XT B100.

Went to the shop and tried some things. Landed on the Sonus Faber Lumina Amator V.

Since I just moved my space is in flux and I thought the sound was worth getting some floor speakers. The whole setup due to backorder and stuff won’t be here until around Christmas. Of course I’ve already spent a grand on vinyl. Me and the lady have been enabling each other. This is gonna be yet another impractical, expensive hobby.

I want to run the speakers and amp through my TV and want the option to stream. I originally got the. Blue sound for this but my current Peachtree Audio Carina has a nice modern DAC and I fear I’ll be losing something. Am I overthinking? I see McIntosh has a streamer, which might be better than the Bluesound. What are folks opinion here for something simple without extra DACs and such. Was also looking at this Moon Audio thing for like $1K
