Guessing this has been posted before. My tastes usually run towards late 90's, mid 00's house tracks, but I'm partial to anything good. This is a great song, and I appreciate the Blues Brothers tribute video.

Oh yeah, it's also extremely topical, loading up the car with 20+ litres of alcohol for a weekend in Banff. Aaah, good ol' binge drinking, here we go again.

I've been listening to Motown a lot lately. Like the Beatles, it is hard to listen to with fresh ears because of the the ubiquity. But when you actually pay attention, it is amazing. 57 number one hits, including 10 for the Supremes in less than four years.

Spot on. I often imagine being in a club and someone putting on 'Uptight' for the very first time or being in Liverpool, or indeed Hamburg, when the Beatles first played. Must have been awesome.

Dub and some of its distant relatives:

Come pick me ups. Apparently the Superchunk album provided the title for the song on the latter. Also just found Superchunk's cover of the Ryan Adams song and it's pretty disappointing. It was a perfect match in my mind but the execution isn't what it could've been, which is really surprising for Superchunk.
