The few things that have saved me from total bankruptcy is that I don't fit RTW that well and so can't buy things on impulse in shops. Moreover, I'm not supposed to wear suits at work and so can't sink that much money into it.
Broke! That's right, I've only been around on SF for about a month, and after reading everyone's posts, comments, suggestions, and reviews of shoes and clothing, I've spent way too much money upgrading my wardrobe. Let me try and tally it all up...
I'm still happy with my AE's, and I don't plan on upgrading to higher quality shoes for a while yet (altough I told myself the same thing when I "upgraded" from Kenneth Cole Reaction to Kenneth Cole New York pre-SF). They serve their purpose very well and I think they look great. I'm not quite ready to start unloading $400-$500+ on a pair of shoes yet, but the way things are going I assume I will get there someday.
Two nights ago I was watching a movie with the girlfriend and a man in a suit was sitting at a high desk with his arms on the top of the desk. His suit was rising up on his shoulders like crazy. Of course I notice these things, but then the girlfriend was like, "I think his armholes are way too big." So ******** her.
