My gf and I enjoyed a few restaurants in Paris. Of course, you'd better ask Fuuma, he actually lives there...

Je The... Me: best duck either of us tried.
La Regalade: we had an amazing brunch there, I can only imagine the dinner.
Le Colimacon: we stayed around the block, so decided to try this place one night. It was very delicious.
Brocéliande: marvelous, imaginative crepes, great for lunch around the Moulin Rouge.
Chez Denise: one of our favorite cheap places that we came back to many times during our stay. Mostly because they were open 24 hours. But also because of their house wine and enormous plates of beef tartare and foie gras.

As a side note, if you're a fan of Monet, stop by Musée Marmottan. Aside from d'Orsay it was my favorite little museum in Paris.

Tonkotsu ramen yesterday.
Pla dug fu the day before.

Both excellent.

(The usual today: pasta for dinner; summery salad--fennel, celery, zucchini, parsley and whatever else looks good at the markt--for breakfast/lunch)

Slightly OT (sorry), but this seems more efficient than starting an orphan thread.

I'll be in Paris (first time in many years) for two days next week for work. Entirely coincidentally, my brother will also be there for work at the same time. Scheduling works out such that we'll both be free Friday afternoon/evening. Recommendations on where to take him for dinner? Not especially concerned about price (the last time my bro and I hung out in Paris together was 1983, so I'm treating it as something of an occasion), but would prefer someplace not super formal or challenging.

There are new popular places like Le Comptoir, Spring, Bones and Septime.

I wrote a bit about Le Comptoir and Spring here. http://www.styleforum.net/t/370258/paris-restaurants#post_7055464

Can you guys link some simple-ish white asparagus recipes? I haven't been a fan of white asparagus since I've once eaten too many of them when I was young but I can get very nice locally-grown white asparagus (as opposed to green asparagus, which isn't in season yet locally, but should be soon).

FWIW, I've just found this recipe which looks pretty good: http://www.femmeactuelle.fr/cuisine/cuisine-des-chefs/recette-asperges
