I am getting married this summer and want to get 3 made to measure suits. I live in Boston but I think that NYC would have much better options.

I have been buying Crocket and Jones shoes for the last 5 years and wanted a change. Would be happy to hear people's thoughts quality shoes for $600-800 as well.

Thanks

Andrew Lock is phenomenal, full canvassed construction, great quality, great fabric, starting at $1000/suit. If you want to splurge, you can opt for Loro Piano fabric and hand details, like hand sewn shoulders.

I had one made last year and it's easily my best looking and most comfortable suit.

The 600-800 shoes is above my price range so I can't give qualified comments on them, but I always liked Carmina.

And apologies to Andrew if he's reading this. I told him I would post a picture of the suit but I don't like to be in photos so I ended up being the photographer for my friends on all of the events I attended. I'll try to get a picture of it when I can in the coming week.

Ive seen very nice Ercole's suits.

I've never seen an AL suit but he is always great to deal with. I'd recommend either. NYC has as many bad options as it does good.

Shoe wise Carmina is my shoe of choice in that price range. Vass is good too from Epaulet. If you are willing to push that needle just a little my personal favorite are Meccariellos. I always got my shoes topied in Boston due to the crap weather, so it's nice to have them come pre topied. The fit and finish on those also tends to be better although you have a bit of a longer wait than just walking into a store and buying.

Overall I think you'd be happy with any of the three shoe makers I just mentioned.

Don't know about the MTM suit part (although David did come to mind first), but you should look at VASS in your shoe price range...
