That’s some top down driving music.

Fun fact, in the high school days, a group of us would go on a yearly waterski camping trip to Lake San Antonio.
Fruit bats would fly around at night, and my best friend’s older brother was terrified of them.

I might have an embarrassingly age inappropriate thing for Dua Lipa. For modern music, the production is really good and the band is (along with some other obvious attributes) tight.

@double00 -- the live versions you poast of songs

can i tell a story ?

in HS i was an oldies junkie , from san diego i could pick up the flamethrower signal of the great k earth 101 los angeles and 1995 me adored the station in those days . shotgun tom kelly would play 50s through early 70s . hermans hermits ! gary lewis and the playboys ! amazing .

heaven . i loved all of it ... except for james taylor .

and for probably the next 20 years i really believed that i disliked james taylor's act , to me he sounded phony . and then i saw his american television debut on the johnny cash show :

astounding . the scales fell from my eyes ( and ears ) and i realized : it's not james taylor on the studio recordings , it's some hideous abstraction . fugazi , joy division , hell even kanye - the late orchestration version of through the wire is incredible, and ngl i love his squeaky clean studio productions :

to me immediacy and the fire of life is where music lives . ymmv !

Does anyone have any suggestions for these 78s that I won't listen to again please? Apart from throwing them out.

Donate them to a local library? Some of the libraries around here have record collections.

Maybe reach out to some high school band or orchestra teachers or something? I bet some of them would love to have some of those.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
