Lots of people say .5 down and lots of people say TTS. I am TTS personally. You kinda need to try for yourself.

Can anyone that owns the FW16 Dotera silk fill chime in on the authenticity of this?

Just got it in the mail, and fit and material seem fine, but the loose threads and non-standard sashiko threading are throwing me off. Just wanted to confirm if this is typical and shouldn't be too alarming?

based on the 3 photos, the main thing that's off to me is the first photo, the missing stitches at the top of the collar. mine has what looks to be hand stitching between the lining and the collar. additionally, the finishing on mine is cleaner without loose threads.

i purchased my dotera from idol brooklyn.

Hi could anyone offer this opinion on whether this TPU stabilizer looks off? The letters seem to far apart to me...

where did you purchase from? it shouldn't be that bad. My dotera doesn't have the fraying or loose ends either. I purchased mine from Union.

Can anyone with experience with a Sanjuro Down jacket comment on how warm it is?

I live in SF and while it is getting colder now, I'm not sure if it'll be too warm of a jacket for 50-60 degree weather. It's an expensive coat, so trying to decide whether to make the dive.

Also, if a friend picks up the coat at the F.I.L. and brings it back to the States in her suitcase etc, do you know if I'll get charged heavy customs or are they pretty lax about it? I believe JPN stores mark your purchases on your passport. Never done this, so any advice would be much appreciated as always. Thanks!

I believe they tape a receipt of some sort in your US passport when you get tax off but you put it in a customs desk basket when you exit Japan. If you don't declare they are not likely to know what it is if they do decide to go through the suitcase though. Unless they really smell something fishy with your friend and Google all the labels to find out the value.

Question: how fast do the online stores in Japan sell out of the damaged 101 jackets once the drops start at the beginning of the season? Will I have to preorder somehow or are they still usually available in the beginning?
