NOS Florsheim 93602. Based on heel nail density, I’m guessing 1988.

Might be a museum shoe for a while (or forever haha)…

Here is one of my favorite unworn pairs. These are 1940s Connolly spectators in black suede and what I believe is embossed calf in a lizard print. Embossed leather was actually pretty common in the 1940s, and was not a sign of low quality like it is today.

The last being a custom Hickey-Freeman made for a man named Harold in 1988 (I found his obituary online and thank him when I wear it) that I turned into a double-breasted job by adding buttons.

Great find! I find the Hanover lasts much more comfortable than the Florsheim ones. I grab these much more often than my other pairs.

I use Saphir Reptan on mine. It's designed specifically for reptile and marine leathers, and it seems to work great.

Bick 4 is fine, too, but it's a thicker formula so it may not absorb as fully.

I use the Angelus Reptile/Exotic conditioner. Same general principle.
