Glued soles can be converted to Blake stitch.

All their posts are weird summaries like that one above, and occasionally they make some product placement. The writing tone isn't human-like.

Today I’m wearing my increasingly beat to hell (because I wear them constantly) 1983 AE Polo’s (8264) in Chestnut Polished Cobbler:

They are identical (year, size and all) twins to this not beat to hell pair:

So why have two pair of the same shoe? Well, I happen to really like the color of AE’s 1980’s Chestnut Polished Cobbler. It’s a strange and incredibly deep 80’s color and finish. Depending on how the light hits them, they change colors, best exemplified by the beater pair in setting sunlight (from a few years back when they weren’t quite as beat up):

In darker light, they’re a dark deep mahogany brown. But, in brighter light, they become a reddish dark orange.

I wish I could find more good examples of AE’s PC Chestnut, because I think it’s one of the few examples of a PC finish that’s more than just permashine. Unfortunately, most examples are far and few between (in my size) and the few I do see are usually very heavily worn (probably because their owners liked the color the same way I do).
