Just picked this pair on the way home. Florsheim Lightweight, the date code/size code has been completely blurred out, but they fit me pretty well so size should be somewhere around 9.5D ~ 10C. Upper is nice quality calf, thick and soft, easy to polish. Summer is here, so they come at the right time 😄

They seem to have been around since the early 1960s

I'd put those around 1960, very cool design. Not a hidden stitch though, just worn enough that you can really see the stitches at the ball of the foot. A hidden stitch would be the opposite - even with heavy wear, you still wouldn't see the stitches at the arch.

I'd put those around 1960, very cool design. Not a hidden stitch though, just worn enough that you can really see the stitches at the ball of the foot. A hidden stitch would be the opposite - even with heavy wear, you still wouldn't see the stitches at the arch.
