It has been so long since I have brought anything worthwhile home that I feel like I am dating again. But today I picked up these fine cap-toe bluchers by Hartt, with the 1958-1968 sock-liner, made after the acquisition of Hartt by Dacks. A nice solid pair of double soled, seven nailed shoes (8.5E); perhaps my luck is changing. I do tend to run hot for awhile and then have long slumps.

Does this mean I'm a trend setter I never thought that would happen. Actually, I'm going to wait until Trump and Trudeau decide whether or not to open the border on the 20th. If yes, then I'll drive down and pick up my stuff. If no, then I'll complete the process.

Can't believe those are 1960s in kangaroo with that shape. More like late 1920s/30s but happy to be proven wrong...the captoe, big eyelets etc

It’s a design that was made from very early on, 1920s, through very late, some appear to be late 60s, with very little change to the upper design. I always date them based on sole/heel.

Vintage Allen Edmonds “Weymouth” Circa Early 1960s. The Weymouth was made on the Newport Last which features a beautiful almond shaped toe which accents the spade soles perfectly.
