Don't know if this was fixed, but Halo requires (or used to require) a HDD for matchmaking. Something to consider.

Currently playing Fallout New Vegas. Was playing Borderlands before that.

LA Noire is the next game I'm really looking forward to but I don't think it's out until April.

Half-life 2 had no AI. It's actually making me annoyed just thinking about how those stupid ***** just stood there until you shot them twice.

Lots of people will say they prefer Contracts and Blood Money but Silent Assassin was always my favorite. The intricacies involved in this series boggled my mind at the time.

Since we're bringing up all these retro PC games, any fans of the Jedi Knight series? KOTOR gets all the critical acclaim but the Jedi Outcast series was pure fun.

Loved Hitman, although I didn't start playing until Hitman 2 was out.

Supposedly the next game (Hitman 5) will be coming out when the sequel to the Hitman movie is released in 2012.

****. Forgot to mention the Max Payne series. Now that's one game that had crazy AI.

What intricacies do you mean?

I felt like Blood Money improved upon everything from the previous titles. Everything from graphics to AI to the GUI.

I hated Contracts. The Mansion mission was pretty cool as was the meat locker one, but I HATED the triads. Anything dealing with the triads or yakuza was just boring to me. In Silent Assassin I enjoyed all the missions previous to the stupid yakuza ones.

^ Well, it was my first foray into a game with a somewhat non-linear approach to gameplay.

And lol @ the Yakuza missions. I liked how every hallway had like 5 ninjas hiding atop the beams.

Something has to be said for Metal Gear's AI as well, that's programmed specifically to be manipulatable by the player.

I remember when Max Payne came out. That was such a solid game. It was doing the whole matrix-bullet-time thing, but I found it did it well. The writing was hit or miss (film-noir attempt.... either silly or amazing depending on how you viewed it).

Loved Max Payne 1; the sequel was okay but not great. At least they got rid of all those stupid dream sequences.

I'm not so sure I like the new Max Payne (3) character. If it ever comes out, that is. Supposedly they've pushed back the date to 2012 now.
