LOL...when my wardrobe was business casual - I thought those that said the 2030 is a dainty last were mentally off....while I do not feel it is sleek it certainly is the most refined of the Viberg lasts...excluding the Chelsea. Now that my wardrobe is super casual compared to my other Vibergs it would seem dressy but on its own not so much.

Especially in GYW it is sleeker than stitchdown. I would never wear a 2030 in any "dressy" situation.

I think you summed it up perfectly.

If I'm gonna wear boots with denim, it's the 110 or 1035. Or Alden Trubalance which I love. Or Buttero's.

If I'm gonna wear boots with a dressy/caz get up, I'm gonna wear Alden's. Or Vass even. Or Buttero's again.

I just can't find that niche where a 2030 fits. For me.

But I think what it is is, you probably should be wearing slim tapered, narrow leg opening denim with the 2030's and I never wear them.

@metranger8694 funny you mention slim taper...being a robust fella who is a little less robust - I found Levi's has a few models out that are pretty regular fitting with some taper and since I have been able to wear those it is what led me to take a chance on the Berg Chelsea. - goes really well with them as does the 2030.

That Chelsea reminded me slightly of my Buttero Ontano's which go well with tapered denim. Must be the whole cut on the vamp.

But a Chelsea is in its own class.

The 2030 is in it's own orbit.

A bit of Bick 4+microfiber polishing, followed by brushing, and these three year old Leffot 2030s are reconditioned and ready to get beat up again.

Chromexcel is awesomely resilient. I just wish I could recondition the soles the same way without having to send them out for new ones.

Hoping for at least one more season before sending them off.

Thanks! Awesome - I hope so! I don't want to go without them for any real amount of time. :)

Once it even gets close to boot season they are the first ones out.

Ebay score at a price I couldn't pass up... 3sixteen roughout boots with mini-ripple sole. I've long wanted a pair of roughouts to beat up.

Nicely done!! I love that makeup and my size (10.5) is still available at 3sixteen. Your pic is tempting me yet again...

LOL they arrived and are a size 7! I guess they just measured them and didn't even see the sizing? On ebay if anyone's interested.

I was able to make it to last years sample sale and it was great. Lots of nice boots and great deals. I can't make it again this year, but if anyone who would be willing to proxy for me, it would be very much appreciated. I would be willing to pay a service fee to anyone nice enough to proxy for me. Thanks

Anyone seen any Derby markups released lately besides what's available on viberg.com?

Lost & Found just released a snuff suede derby. I've also seen some recent pics/stories on IG showing derbies in production. There should be more derby releases as we get further into spring and summer.

New boots. Never owned Suede or Non-Waxed Rough Out until today. To spray or not to spray? And beyond that, Saphir Super Invulner or Tarrago Nano Protector?
Any recommendations?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
