Let me know how you size, since they say to size up due to the shrinkage.  Not that I need these (prefer the black) since I have the scout gloxi from their last run.

I don't need these, but I may want these.

Alright guys, just came from the store. Half size down from my US/TTS was no go (med weight chups socks). Size 9 (TTS) the fit was perfect.

I'm size 8 across all Viberg lasts.

DM Haven and they said size up 0.5 from usual Viberg size.
But you 're Viberg size 8 & size up to Viberg 9 perfect fit, right?

That's correct but something to keep in mind that many size down only .5 for 2030

In my case I size down the whole size for for 2030 as all other lasts.

As much as I like them, I decided to stay strong haha. A bit too much indigo dye transfer for my liking. I'm sure they will sell though.

Thoughts on the zipper? Is it functional? Can you lace the boots tight and then just unzip them off, put them back on and zip up?

Zipper wasn't very functional as I still had to loosen up the laces quite a bit. I really like the design and boots definitely stand out. Kangaroo leather is extremely light, soft and very comfortable once I dialed the sizing.

Thought i would share my beloved and heavily worn chukka.
Hope viberg will come up with 2030 last chukka in rough out aged bark!

I already posted this in the No Man Walks Alone thread, so apologies if you're seeing this a second time. I'm about to order the service boot in aged bark roughout suede, 1035 last. They are final sale, though, and I'm unsure on sizing.

I'm an 11 D Brannock. (One foot is between an 11 D and and 11.5, but I pretty much always wear 11 D.) For the 1035, should I size down to 10.5 or 10? I usually wear Chup socks.

(Note to self: Really shouldn't have waited until final sale ... would happily pay full retail for the peace of mind of being able to exchange for a different size)

I still think 10.5 but I'll give you some more points of reference to help you out. Also this is my fave pair of boots. The colour, suede, texture, fit, profile, is just perfect. You won't go wrong.

I'm 8.5 on brannock (slightly over? not sure).

My shoes:

AE 5 - 8.5E
Alden Barrie - 8D (slightly tight/need break in)
Alden Modified - 8D (slightly tight/need break in)
CP Achilles Mids - 41
Wings Horns Lo/Mids - 42
Iron Rangers - 8D
New Balance - 9
Viberg 2030 - 8D (slightly tight/need break in)
Viberg 1035 - 8D (perfect)

Naturally, everyone's foot is different and can have a different fit experience, but I have concluded the 1035 last does not work for me. The closest size in that last for me would be half size down from my US size. The full size down was just too snug.

I would say go with the 10.5, but proceed cautiously in a final sale transaction.

Service boots on the 1035 last are quite common as has the use of aged bark RO. Ask yourself whether you will be able to find something similar elsewhere where either you can try on or return if the fit does not work. I am speaking as someone who has a couple of ill fitting pairs that I need to move.

Thanks for the input. Very much appreciated. I'm leaning 10.5 based on the majority of opinions here on the forum, but Viberg customer service recommended 10 so that has me second guessing.

Mr Porter has a suede boondocker I'm tempted to try instead, though I really prefer NMWA's makeup and would prefer to support their business anyway.

Thanks again.
