CXL is pretty water resistant. It really depends on your preference and the actual level of rain.dumb question, with the weather finally turning and it started raining outside, do I need to do anything in anticipation of the rain for my boots?
I am all for patina, aging, color changing, etc. I just dont want the leather to deteriorate as a result of the rain.
In my experience, San Francisco gets some heavy rains, but not really on a regular basis. Most of the time, it's just a steady drizzle. And there is no snow, so no need to worry about things like salt stain.
I "might" spray them with a light water resistant thing, but generally, I do nothing.
