Were these made and offered somewhere?
Yes to something similar.
They are one-off, MTO before Viberg stopped doing that.

Nyet. Brett, and everyone at Viberg, hates working with stitchdown and shell.
Honestly, you want a protective welt on shell anyway, all things being equal.
Exactly. If Radiance Blue and all the other Boondocker stockists get 4 rows of stiching so should we. It's only fair. Just b/c some dude has a storefront in a big city half way around the world should he be treated better than us. Also, styleforum may not have a storefront but collectively, we as a group are a powerful buyer!!Quote:
I know they do it for other stockists, see the 110 that was posted above for Radiance Blue. Brett flat out denied us - http://www.styleforum.net/t/501762/...vailable-now-until-august-16/780#post_7992431.
Quote: Maybe, but I would not bet on it. The shell + 2030 + flat welt works really well together, and I am not sure that he would compromise on any aesthetics. Brett's primary concerns are aesthetics that fit into his vision of a specific boot.
No, mainly because it would require a new set of patterns. We could do a country derby or trench though. I've been sorta stoked to try those. I know that the service boots are standard and popular, but as someone with both a lot of Vibergs and has done tons of GMTOs, it's always cool to see something new. Also - @LA Guy is an 8-inch service boot possible? I know the trench and country derby are 8-inch boots. I would love the service boot model made slightly higher.

What sort of non-shell horsehide options are there? Is there any heavier stuff? (i.e. not the garment weight Italian horse recently used).
Would anyone be into the 310 with a leather sole?
