Placed an ebay bid after a couple beers and ended up with a pair of darn near new Viberg's for $300. Nothing glaringly off with them, very nice symmetry actually and the Chromepak seems to be creasing nicely. Appear to have been worn maybe 1-2 times. Really liking the Dr Sole sole, super quiet and grippy, going to serve me well as I turn these into all-season beaters

Several years back I had nailed down 11.5 as my ideal size in 2030

I see that Viberg is now using UK based sizing. Does this mean I should be shopping for a 10.5 in "Viberg" sizing or were there other implications to the sizing shift that I should be considering?

I know I'm late to this news but what an odd move on Viberg's part...

No, if 11.5 is your 2030 size youll wanna buy 11.5 from any retailer.
Wow I wouldn't have guessed that from looking at the sizing chart (10.5 Viberg = 11.5 US)

It does make sense when I look at sizing advice being given compared to my old size (0.5 down from Brannock)

So they didn't actually change anything?

Random question: does anyone find that the laces on new vibergs tend to loosen up after a brief walk? I'm trying to break in a new pair of CXL service boots and my feet start to swim in my shoes after a block. I look down and and laces that I cinched up at home now have slack.

Or is it just me?

Are they the raw hides? If so, yes those start out stiff. Try to really crank them down and they should soften with wear

I have this problem with their flat wax laces until the laces themselves break in.
