Need some feedback. I don’t often find myself wearing these 3sixteen Mocha Oil Harness 1035 boots because of the leather sole.

Any resole suggestions for an unstructured plain toe? Do wedge soles typically work with such flattened unstructured toe boxes or should I stick with something like dainite? Also color as well View attachment 2194809 View attachment 2194811 View attachment 2194813 View attachment 2194815
Id stick to a full sole and heel combo. Dainite, Dr Sole Super Grip, or Vibram Westerner 269 with a Quabaug 419 heel.

What's holding you back from wearing these with the leather sole? Personally I don't find wedge soles to work that well with Vibergs outside of the chunkier lasts/patterns

Similar to dainite, most situations I’m in here are more casual than what call for them… and I’ve already got a couple pairs with dainite. Only wedge sole I can see working would probably be a mini ripple then

The mini ripple with a leather stack like on these indy boots might work on your boots:

It would kinda preserve some of the the original look while also giving you a more casual style.

I do think the original leather looks pretty damn good though, for what its worth.

I mean it is on a more blobby last in a leather with a ton of pull up. Unless you are planning on actually working in them, seems pretty casual to me. Double leather is thick and honestly Viberg leather soles are pretty damn hearty

Lovely looking. They've aged really well. A ridgeway sole?
Thanks.

The soles are Dainite studded. I spec’d leather but was later told they couldn’t do it with stitchdown. They definitely can obviously, as they’ve done it before and after, but maybe they hadn’t figured it out yet with the higher SPI and new leather sole type.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
