Its a unique leather. Viberg prices it like shell so I imagine the new price of shell might be 1740 now. Also Viberg isnt covering duties on boots over 1000 anymore so the price may be nearer 2 grand after DHL holds it hostage. They won't catch every pair, but some will be hit by duties.
Oh man, I hadn’t heard about the change related to duties, I actually got the teacores today (located in Seattle) and did not get hit with a duty charge but I might need to change up how I purchase in the future

That doesn't make any sense about duty. Canadian made goods sent to USA should be duty free. Either Viberg and/or DHL is f-ing things up.

I’ve found DHL to have its arse backwards when it comes to dealing with taxation regulations for imports.

How do the teacores look and feel in person? Still waiting on mine to get delivered. I hope DHL doesn't play this duty charge game with mine. The ~$1800 price I paid was high enough....

Yeah people got hit on the blackened cognac halketts (whatever the name was.)

And as others have said DHL is wonky about it too.

FWIW, I was able to dispute an erroneous assessment with DHL years ago and got it corrected.

Earlier this year, retailer in the UK marked country of origin as UK on some US made goods so DHL was trying to charge me duty. Retailer was able to correct the invoice/customs form.

And also recently some guy on Reddit mentioned being charged by DHL for Vibergs from Brooklyn Clothing. He was able to get BC to help with that.

Had a similar kind of problem with a UPS shipment. They basically told me to GFY.

I couldn’t help myself. Ordered a 10.5 last night. I’m a sucker for unlined boots and also a sucker for any WW II boots.

It’ll be my first pair on the Dr. Sole raw cord soles. Anyone else have those soles that can tell me how they feel compared to other soles such as leather, Ridgeway, Dainite, etc.?

BTW, I cannot believe how much Shell is costing these days?! You can get more than two pairs of boots for that price!
