Anyone know the difference between the Maryam Sego tannage and Vachette Lucida? Both have descriptions about being developed in conjunction with Viberg to make a leather that is better suited for stitch down construction, but given such similarities and description it seems strange to develop two different leathers for the same purpose within a short time frame.

Viberg's Sego is Sego TPR. So its essentially TPR with the addition of talc finishing on the flesh side (I believe for softening.) The Lucida isn't TPR, and it sounds like the leather gets the pre-TPR hot stuffing and then just doesn't get the final coating.

Service boot has that external heel counter

Different patterns. Service boots have farther apart facings and are shorter. Best to compare the photos.

And service boots are generally stitchdown whereas Halkett boots are always Goodyear welt.
