I’m fairly new to this brand .. are you forced to only use viberg laces because the eyelets are too small for any other brands lace?

Nope, the eyelets are standard for every size they use. Largest are the 5-7 eyelet makeups. Can use most laces with those.

If you’re talking about the brown ones in my picture, those are old school 10 eyelet boots that Viberg hasn’t made in several years now. Those eyelets are pretty small and require thin laces. But most Vibergs have decent sized eyelets.

I’m having issues finding laces that fit that also aren’t caked in grease or wax/oil

If you’re talking about the brown ones in my picture, those are old school 10 eyelet boots that Viberg hasn’t made in several years now. Those eyelets are pretty small and require thin laces. But most Vibergs have decent sized eyelets.

These are the eyelets on my boots. My dilemma is I don’t want to get the tongue on these boots dark from waxed laces and vibergs laces are sort of waxed. So far the laces I’ve bought to my surprise haven’t been able to fit in the eyelets but I will keep searching

I’m trying my best to wear the boots while also avoid the tongue marks the viberg issued laces are giving me right now. Since they’re 850$ boots I don’t want to carelessly get the tongue all “dirty” if you know what I mean. I don’t think it looks like natural patina

I hope that’s the last advice you try to give somebody …. I would hate for somebody else to think getting the tongue on your boots dirty for no reason is “part of it” did you read my post? Where do you think I’m going to get if I wear the boots and get them more dirty considering I don’t want them to be that way? that doesn’t make any sense.
