Christmas time has just begun and we hope you had a joyful first advent!
It's that time of the year again when you start thinking about presents for classic menswear aficionados close to your heart as well as yourself or anyone else who appreciates meticulously crafted clothing accessories.

What's a more typical Christmas present to start with other than wool socks?
However, unlike you're usual wool socks our beige houndstooth ones are a pair you'd actually want to wear.
Soft and comfortable yet elegant at the same time.



The best Christmas presents are the ones the presentee can enjoy as often as possible rather than the ones that are put aside and forgotten about.
So why not gift something versatile? Our grey herringbone linen pocket square certainly is one of our most versatile items.



While we're on the subject of versatile garments it's impossible not to mention one of our most popular products which also offers great value for money - our cashmere knit tie. This oatmeal version works with pretty much anything in a semi-formal and casual context.



If you like cashmere but prefer a classic three fold tie let me introduce you to a highlight from our recent fall / winter tie collection.
This mottled rust tie is made from a buttery soft blend of wool and cashmere and ties one of the best knots from the entire collection.



On the opposite end of the scale we also added this stunning tie in a wool-silk-linen blend by E.Thomas.
While it's rather dry and cool to the touch it makes for an equally nice knot and will be very suitable for your summer wardrobe.



Most recently we added a small collection of leather accessories that were developed in collaboration with Scuola del Cuoio in Florence.
Our cognac ram hide tray will make an excellent gift as it can be prominently placed in your home and also taken with you on trips.



Last but not least we'd like to recommend one of our best sellers from last years collection - our olive Carpincho gloves.
These cashmere lined gloves will keep their wearer warm throughout wintertime and will be a lasting present for many years to come.

Hi there,

To complete this years releases for the current fall / winter collection we've teamed up with the Florentine school of leather crafts "Scuola del Cuoio".

The historic leather school was founded after the second world war in the Santa Croce district of Florence. They train the most skillful artisans from all over the world the traditional craft of creating hand made leather goods. Politicians and celebrities from the present and the past like Dwight D. Eisenhauer, Ronald Reagan, Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn have been amongst the clients of this family operated business.

Together we designed and developed three everyday-carry products. Two that are ought to be carried every day and one to keep those items overnight.

From the launch of the webshop to the collaboration with Blue Loafers to the pop-up store in Hamburg and the Black Friday Grenadine Sale 2018 was a year full of decisive occurences. Whether at trunk shows in Munich, Frankfurt or finally at Ladage & Oelke in Hamburg, it is always a pleasure to meet new people and fulfill a sartorial desire.

2019 Vecchio Anseatico is undergoing an equally exciting development. New trunk shows, collections and collaborations are already being planned. Next year I'd like to diversify Vecchio Anseatico's offering. On the one hand there will be thematic collections with extraordinary items, on the other hand the current portfolio will be complemented by a selection of basic classics.
In addition, I am working on many small projects to further establish Vecchio Anseatico as a brand for exceptional classic menswear accessories. It would be a pleasure if you joined me and my company on this journey!

Speaking of which - due to the increasingly high demand of our gloves and the most common sizes already being sold out we decided to add a "Made-to-Order" option.
This way you can create your own pair of custom gloves to your exact specifications.
Choose between peccary, carpincho and deer leather in various shades, select unlined construction or add a cashmere or rabbit skin lining and finally determine your perfect size.

Our gloves are hand made in Romania in a workshop that traces its roots almost 200 years back. Only the finest hides of leathers from the worlds best tanneries are used in the process.

It gets even better - our MTO gloves come at no extra cost and are usually ready to be shipped to you within two weeks.

Thanks for writing! That is indeed possible. I have just checked the size chart which reads 19 cm as a size 7. Following your order please write an e-mail to [email protected] specifying the color you'd like to chose as well as your preferred size. I will then add a note to your order.
