Would appreciate any suggestions on a wool/mohair blend. Was looking at the Cerruti Kinair Olive/Grey one but Cerruti but that seems not available anymore (if someone can source it please let me know, will pay a premium if possible), so good alternative recommendations would be really appreciated. Not very heavy though because it's meant to be worn in hot summer weather.

I just received a swatch of this (in navy).
It's very thin and light.

Dugdale has a nice mohair blend. I think it’s called Cape Breeze? The suit I had made in it was a bust for non-fabric reasons.

H&S is very light and thin, I didn’t like the performance.

Smiths gets good chatter on SF but I haven’t used it.

Hi folks - I'm in the market for a navy sportcoat - something super versatile that can be dressed down (denim) or up (wool trousers). I live in the bay area where its usually fairly cool so not in need of something ultralight for summer or anything like that. Was thinking hopsack or mock leno for some texture so it's not confused for a suit jacket. Looking at the Dugdale Tropicalair in mock leno, the Fox Brother Sport Ink Blue in hopsack, or the Smith Woolens Finmeresco. Any experience with these fabrics or opinions on which has the most versatility in terms of formality?

No personal experience with any of those but I really like the weave and color of that Fox fabric. It is as far away from a suit jacket in look as you can get. The blue is just bright enough but isn't so bright that I wouldn't call it navy. I think it would be perfect for a sports coat.

Do you have any suggestions, only know about Dugdale royal pageant 2 bunch wool gabardine and Equinox cotton gabardine - not sure about cotton though?

I have a DB blazer in Fox Brothers dark navy hopsack. It has a nice texture, drapes well and it's very breathable so I use it mostly in spring and summer (in Stockholm, so rarely too warm). It just about works with jeans. An ink blue would work better with denim as the darker navy is more formal.

Not sure if this is too fuzzy, but there are a handful of white baratheas out there that are both elegant and casual.

Yep. I had Vestrucci make me an unstructured blazer from the navy Spring Ram. I like the way the jacketing has held up to the demands of an unstructured jacket.
