PART III: Mohairs

This stuff is totally wacky. 8 ounce slubby light blue complext plaid. When you first see it, you think "Herb Tarlek!" But it grows on you. Or at least it did me. I've seen it made up, and it is gorgeous. 60% wool, 40% mohair.

8 ounce elephant gray, 60% summer kid mohair, 40% Golden Bale worsted:

Kevlar. 15 ounce, 75% mohair, 25% wool, fresco weave. Lets in air, could stop a bullet. The ultimate travel suit.

3x3 means that yarns in both directions -- warp and weft -- are three ply. That is, each individual yarn used in the actual weaving is actually three twisted together. Sometimes it will say on the selvage. If in doubt, take some yarns from the cut end and carefully untwist them. If you can unravel one into three, in both directions, then it's 3x3.

??? It's slightly less expensive than ordering from the books in most cases.

Linens coming soon. No cotton suitings laying around. The shirtings, no way I'm doing that today.

You could afford to own the cloth! Or to use your own goods in lieu of another order from the books.

And, as I recall, you do own one of those.

This thread is unhealthy, at least for my bank balance. I now have several new projects in mind that I do not want to have to order (or rather, pay for) any time soon.

Some lovely cloths here Manton, thanks for sharing. Wish I had a few of them in the back of my wardrobe too!
