^ mine came in Wednesday (after USPS gave me several heart attacks) and I can second that this jacket rules.

It's def made for low-40s to high-60s but it's very roomy so you can layer with heavier sweaters for even colder weather. I'm a Big Baby so I do kinda wish it had handwarmer/internal pockets but hey, that's what you get with a replica design. If you're on the fence I would recommend this over the MA-1 if you live in a more temperate place.

Oh also Whitesville t's mentioned in the OP are the best white t-shirts I've had.

Now to justify getting the Gibson N-3B even though I'd only be able to wear it like three days out of the year here...

Just bought a Buzz Rickson's jungle jacket from Second Sunrise in size XL, and now I am wondering if it might be too short. Opinions? The jacket's back is 76cm, I am 190cm tall.

Other than the length, I think the jacket fits like a charm, but it is bugging me a little.

Open that sucker and it'll be easier to tell, it don't look short to me but I would never wear my outerwear closed like that. SF rules yo

Not a jungle jacket expert but after looking at a few reference photos it looks like there are vintage versions that are longer, and ones that are more cropped—yours definitely being modeled off of the more cropped version.

I think yours looks like it fits really well, but if you want something that reaches mid thigh i'd size up for an oversize look or go with one based on a different pattern. I like how the longer or oversized ones look, but I think it just comes down to how you plan to wear it and your own preference.

Def wear it open though!

For reference, you can see on this vintage one from Wooden Sleepers that the bottom extends about 4 inches further past the hem, whereas the Buzz is cut so that the sleeves are the same length as the hem.

Seems like a lot of people wear vintage ones oversized for a very chic milsurp farmer market daddy look.

But more cropped styles look cool too!

Sidebar, gotta say really loving when folks mix in a jungle jacket in a more formal look:

@Buffon.** I agree with your sentiment. It seems too short.

I also think that the "wear it open" injunction won't fix an improperly fitting jacket. It may look better open, but it has to look good closed. It's outerwear. You're gonna have to close it sometimes.

Don't call me out like that.

@Pulpo thank you for your detailed response. I have always looked at those longer versions for inspiration, so maybe that is why the BR one seems so short :) Also agree with @XWT that I generally want to be able to wear a jacket closed, so that's why I posted a pic of it closed. Here's it opened up:

Anyway, I am going to return it, and maybe opt for e.g. the Orslow version, which is a bit longer.

Love to see the Orslow one when it arrives. I've thought about buying it a few times.

If you want to cheap out the Rothco shirt version is as heavy as some of the repro jackets and is definitely longer. Buttons are cheap plastic but the ripstop material is good. Nice authentic feel to it.

Have to say that it looks kind of nice, but living in Europe, I dislike ordering from American sites, too much of a hassle with the customs, shipping etc. :)
