I'm guessing you're relatively light right? Because goddamn if I could do that.

5'11, 180 lbs. People are strong in different ways. It's bs that what is easy for one person is easy for the next.

Use your noggin'. He can obviously still see because he's reading and posting on message boards. I understand the rationale for not lifting because of it's effects on intraocular pressure, but I was wondering if his docs cleared him to at least run.

Sorta. Light running. But my knees are not great anymore either. I actually have Concept 2 rower (the standard model D that I used forever) on order. I used to do great on that, and it's a full body cardio workout, so I'll use that as my base.

Anyway, the point was that it's stupid to separate yourself from the tons of people out there who are not in as good shape as you, by assuming that it's all a matter of will. There are tons of fit 20 somethings (I was one), and tons of fit 30 somethings, but even then, it starts to taper off. It's silly to think that all these people, especially in our gym culture, suddenly lost all the discipline that they gained over years, maybe decades, of consistent, activity and at least decent eating. Your metabolism slows down, some people's faster than others, and injuries and the natural wear-and-tear of age, as well as accidents of fate, set in.

It's super easy to assume that things are easy for everyone when things are easy for you. But it's hubris to think that you are somehow set apart from the rest of humanity.

Do u guys think this jacket fits well? The waist is a bit tight around my hips but I've never broken in like a real thick heavy leather like this. Will it stretch and loosen up a bit?

never knew the Amish used MTM services across the world.

but on a more seriously note, it looks great, and breaking it in probably will solve your issue.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
