Looking for sizing advice in the Artista line, primarily for the 112 Goya, 107 Picasso, and 198 Van Gogh shoes. I have a fairly regular shaped arch, regular instep, and narrow/regular width. I have my measurements in cm and recent shoe sizing with US Brannock device listed below:

• Right foot: 30.2 cm length and 11.3 cm width
  • Heel-to-toe measurement: US 14
  • Arch measurement: US 14
  • Width: A
• Left foot: 29.9 cm length and 10.7 cm width
  • Heel-to-toe measurement: US 13.5
  • Arch measurement: US 14
  • Width: A

Here are some sizes for some of my current shoes to give you an idea:
-Gucci Jordaan leather loafer size 12 (US 12.5) - lightly used and fits snuggly around feet and has appropriate heel-to-toe length for both feet
-Massimo Matteo Cap Toe Leather Derby Shoes size US 13D - lightly used and fits snuggly around feet and has appropriate heel-to-toe length for both feet

I went to the Allen Edmonds store recently and tried on their Park Avenue Cap Toe Oxford shoe in size US 13D which they sized me for in-store and it felt ok but slightly less snug around the foot as I would have wanted for a new leather shoe. They did not have any size 13C in store.

They look good to me. Unless they’re uncomfortable I wouldn’t size down; my own experience is that whenever I size down, usually after copious advice to do so, I regret it.

I’d be interested in any comments about the Senior sole.

I am eyeing some Chelsea boots that by default come with this sole. I am looking for something I can wear to work on days when it’s wet out (but not torrentially so, which would prompt me to wear a robust boot and change my footwear on reaching the office).

How’s the traction? Do they wear out fast?

Depending on the toe space, you might go up half a size. Works for me.

With TLB Artista Goya Cap Toe Oxford (black), which type of laces TLB ships to customers, round or flat?
I ordered the shoes but didn't mention specifically with the order.

Also, pros and cons of flat vs guide for black cap toe oxford, can anyone guide?

Mine (black Picasso) shipped with flat laces. I replaced them with round ones, but only because I had some sitting around. I find they twist less and are easier to keep looking tidy after a few wears.

My Norwegian blutchers also came with flat laces. I like the look, bit of a pain to untie sometimes. Easy enough to fix though. I'd proably go with round on an oxford. I think they look a bit more formal.
