47, I wear them to the pool or just out and about in nice weather. Its relatively hot where I live (85-90 in summer) and they're more comfortable. I used to wear Havaianas which were surprisingly comfortable for flip flops but found some crocs last year with the leather strap and they are the most comfortable ever.

31, Chicago. I wear them EVERY day in the Spring and Summer because the weather here is ungodly and it allows my feet to breathe.

21, Australia. People must think I'm crazy as I don't even own a pair. My brogues look better though.

Australian in south east Asia, 33 yrs old. Almost never. Beach yes, and very occasionally I may wear them to my regular little coffee shop for my Sunday breakfast. Otherwise, no.

LOL, the only place where its ok to wear flip flops is at the pool or the beach. I wear leather sandal's during the summer because they are much more comfortable and durable than most of the flip flops avalible.

BTW, I'm 18 living in Peachtree City

I'm going to Vegas in a couple weeks and I will be wearing them to the hotel pool

outside of that, they don't serve much purpose

I never wear them. Note to "wear them around the pool" guys: those cheap smooth soled shower shoes type flip flops are dangerous to wear on smooth wet concrete.

I am not "Mr Dress Up All the Time", but I think sandals look like **** and are somewhat sissified.

I'm surprised by the number of younger guys (18-25) who don't wear them compared to the number of older fellas who do. I thought it would be the opposite.

I think that could be due to the higher representation of younger people on the forum.

Maybe the younger ones that normally wear them aren't akin to admit it

A scot in Australia? I'm sure the first thing you bought is a massive bottle of sunscreen protection.

I USED to wear them almost all the time (teens) out to the store, gas station, errands, meeting a buddy, etc.

Though, at the ripe age of 22, I recently discovered that I should have known a long time ago what I know am coming to peace with. Most guys feet, including mine, are not maintained to the degree that would make flip-flop wear acceptable. A girl with small, 'cute' feet and a pedicure? Sure. Me? Not even close.

That said, I think wearing anything other than sandals/flip flops to the beach or the pool feels and looks a little strange

i dont see anything wrong with them......young or old, they're comfortable.

if jack purcells are ok, i can't see why flip flops wouldn't be.

the real question is, would it be better to wear flip flops or ugly shoes?
