Back to the Masters - I just read a 'human interest' story about how grown men go around collecting used beer & soda cups out of trash cans at the tournament and then reuse them! They proudly serve their guests beverages using old discarded plastic beer cups! :confused2:

Are we talking used Solo cups or like those special commutative cups with gaudy iconography of the patriarchy?

I worked at the Salvation Army sorting donations for a bit. Most of it is garbage but once in a while I came across a few gems.

They're not red, and they do say "Masters" or whatever, but still, used plastic cups sourced from public refuse containers. But the weirdest thing (to me) is that grown men who have paid lots of money and spent a lot of time (one guy had driven like 12 hrs from St Louis) are scrounging around like freegan dumpster divers instead of enjoying the tournament

If this was any other previous year, i coulda made a sick burn here about whether the Masters dumpster divers found the remnants of Tiger Woods’ career. But now, well.....

It’s a very present year thing to do. Same with people being obsessed about selfies and such. They’re more interested in establishing proof they did something than in actually doing it.

I get keeping a cup or two (yours!) as a commemorative souvenir, but guys are walking around all day carrying a stack of 10 gross used cups in each hand. One guy was switching out all the glassware at his lake house with used Masters cups...WTF?

I was at awards ceremony today to win a award of which my name was mispronounced. I don't mean like a little bit off I mean it was a pronunciation I'd never heard anyone try before like not even close.
