I get confused by this whole ‘car spy’ industry that works so very hard to take pictures of these new cars in black and white camo. The camo does an excellent job of making every car look like ****, so every pic they are able to take makes the car look like an utter disappointment. So why the hell should I even look at the pics then? It’s really not that of a deal to wait until the manufacturer releases the official photos...

I just organized and consolidated my 3 "tech boxes."

1. Why do I insist on keeping original boxes for tech stuff? I don't ever use them, and I forget to throw them out. (I have phone boxes 3 generations old.)

2. Holy hell is it easy to accumulate random cords. I have so many USB cords of every variety (mostly useless old type B and mini), and so many analog A/V that I'll probably never use again (yet I still keep them). At least they don't take up much space.

3. I can't believe my standalone GPS is still worth a decent chunk of change ($70, give or take, on eBay). I guess it was worth keeping that box.

Camera gear boxes seem worth it. If you are reselling lenses or bodies, I think people like to see the original box.

Everything else...probably not. Phones depreciate so much that it hardly seems worthwhile. Especially since I usually keep them for 2 (or more) years AND I usually keep the old one around for a while just in case something happens. At the time I am getting rid of them, they are 3-4 years old and it hardly seems worth it. iPhones hold value a little better than android.

Maybe if I were an apple laptop user? Used to be you could resell your powerbook every year when new ones came out and barely lose any money. I still have my boxes for my Surface Pro somewhere, but I certainly can't imagine keeping the box for some random Acer or Dell laptop.

The only thing i’ve ever resold that seems to keep more value if shipped in the original box are shoes. I guess women’s purses too, but i’ve never sold those

I keep cereal boxes but as of yet the market has not appeared. But soon the demand for empty boxes of Special K and Fiber One will bring me riches beyond my wildest dreams.

More often than not people who say “I don’t give a ****” actually give a ****.
