The all-purpose uniform for women in their teens and twenties seems to be a sweatshirt, pajama bottoms, and Ugg-like footwear.

I like to walk to the Starbucks near my house in the afternoons but always try to make sure I'm out of there before about 2:30 PM because that's when all the high school kids show up.

We have 6 high schools within a two mile radius (2 public and 4 private) and 99% of the girls are dressed like you describe except for instead of Uggs, they wear Clark's Wallabees. I have a 14-year-old at home but she prefers her Doc Martins and thankfully wouldn't be caught dead out of the house in pajama pants.

I have wanted a pair of Wallabees for years but have never bought some.

Never owned a pair but I will admit they look pretty comfy.

That said, now I think I'd prefer a pair of wallabees like in the link @Cause Moe posted! 🤣

At the supermarket self-checkout line, I put my debit card in the slot, and entered my PIN. The machine told me that the PIN did not match. I entered it again, very carfully. Once again, it flagged a PIN mismatch error. Then it beeped and said "Card Declined." Then another beep, "Please remove your card."

So I removed my card. The machine then printed out a perfectly normal receipt, thanked me, and told me to remove my groceries from the bagging area. My online account page at the credit unit shows a charge that matches the time, place, and amount of the receipt.

I don't get it.

Does it make more sense if you pronounce it "gra-VEL" with a bad French accent?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
