What's with the fashion trend of tube socks over spandex leggings?

Any examples?

(I know those are leg warmers and not tube socks, but that's still the image I get in my head)

No to both.

I'm not a creep that's taking pictures of women in public.

I actually don't like the leggings look to begin with, and the tube socks make it worse.

That's basically right, but black leggings and white socks that always seem to be an unpleasant off-white.

There was something going around that younger people preferred white socks and it may have spread if you are seeing older people in this style.

There are definitely women in their 20s.

Although I agree I've seen it a lot with teenagers for awhile.

Last time I was in court ( I was the plaintiff, jerks ) I saw some of the lawyers doing it.
I was by far the best dressed person in the entire wing of the courthouse.
Lawyers wearing Sperry boat shoes?? That should be contempt of court.

Dude you live in a beach town in SoCal. They were probably wearing those Topsiders with board shorts.

LOL at someone who I believe to be even older than me, addressing someone as "dude."
Now that I reflect, it's no more absurd than someone as old as me, saying "LOL."

... so now I will get off my own lawn, and drink some whiskey neat, which local bartender Clarisse tells me is an "old man's drink."

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
