What the hell happened to the "Happy Thread"?

Anyhow, I finally pulled the trigger on a house. Now I have a nice place in the hip part of town, and I can drive my hybrid cross-over to the yoga studio. 😅
The Happy Thread is over in Dumb Threads, and it's a catch-all for shitpoasting.

And I talked myself out of the correct answer with my second guess. :redx:

Daughter turns 18 tomorrow and we will be a household of four adults. :wow:

Someone told me early on that as a parent the days are long, but the years are short -- and so it has proved.

Fake news. I don't believe this so-called "Gen X" exists. Even the name sounds fake.

Don't worry, it is the Silent Generation's fault that Gen X is financially illiterate. Apparently the Silent's stoic nature and conservative nature after living through the Great Depression caused Gen X to never talk about finances (more so than other generations). What a weird take.

It makes a lot more sense when you get to the end and see it's a sales pitch for financial advisors-

"Engaging a financial adviser can empower individuals to take control of their financial future, promoting a healthier relationship with money and potentially preventing the transmission of financial trauma to the next generation."

Don't hire one to give you investment advice, hire one to heal your psychological trauma and help you save your children from a lifetime of unhealthy attitudes about money!

I actually blame the fact that we've gone to lame generation naming. It used to have cool names like Silent or Greatest. Now we just go x, y, z. How that's relevant, no one can say, but that's my opinion. Maybe I can get an article published by yahoo money.

Millennials can be the Myspace/Facebook generation. Gen Z is the Tiktok generation.
