Any truth to the rumor that Atlanta renamed itself "No Eds Allowed City"?

Here's a new one, for me at least - it's a variation of the selfish a$$hole staring at his personal electronic device, oblivious to the havoc and inconvenience he is visiting upon his fellow human beings.

I'm waiting for a down elevator next to woman who is waiting for the up - she has carrier tray w/ what looks to be 4 or 5 cups of coffee. The up elevator arrives and 3 guys exit followed by the a$$hole w/ his head down staring at his phone. He's moving slowly in that distracted-by-technology kind of way.

The poor woman w/ the coffee is waiting for him to fully exit before she goes in. However, he hesitates at the threshold as he starts typing, then glances up and realizes it's not his floor and takes a slow step backwards - the door now starts closing and the coffee woman frantically kicks her leg forward in an effort to break the beam and get the doors to reopen.

She succeeds, but in doing so jostles the tray causing some some spillage as a couple of cups tip over (they had lids) - by now another guy in the elevator is holding the door open button as she fights to regain her balance. A$$hole kind of rolls his his eyes in an exasperated "jeezus, let's go" manner and finally says "I think she's going to need more time" as he starts hitting the close door button. Door closes as the women continues her struggle to keep from upending the drippy leaking tray.

    Wow, that is a dick.

Pissing me off today is I noticed one of our toilets is leaking around the floor seal. No, I'm not going to DIY it, so that's a few hundred dollar plumber visit coming up.

mother fucker. if i was in that vator i would have slapped the shit out of that guy and broke his phone. then i would have made him carry that ladies coffee to her destination.

that is if my life was a movie.

what i actually would do, would be to hold the door open button, and say, no, i think you need to pay attention to your surroundings and not be an obnoxious jerk. now look away from your fucking phone and let this lady in the damn elevator.

Whoa, that's dickish even by my standards.

SF has two highly respected members of the academy (L'incandescent and Teacher). Both of whom are KISS fans extraordinaire. I had asked them, from their lofty perches in the ivory tower, to launch a critical reevaluation of "Music from 'The Elder.'" They declined.

I am now doubting their convictions and credentials.

Been waiting for a windshield replacement guy to show up and put a new one in (rock crack) and he just phoned to say he's still an hour away. Fuck, grounded for at least another two hours.

And at the end of the day you're still a successful bigtimer. my heart aches.

Yeah, so I just realized people seemed to have forgotten the "edinatlanta fails again" meme. I once had SF fame, now I have none. That really bothers me.

Sidenote: Why can't more albums be as BAMF as "Sleep's Holy Mountain"?

Because only one album can be the heaviest ever made. EDIT: actually, I was thinking of Dopesmoker. I haven't listened to Holy Mountain nearly as much.

But you should check out Dopethrone by Electric Wizard, if you haven't.
