I think the JPs are okay. Footwear is so tough sometimes. To me it's easily the hardest part of putting something together. Obviously you could go all black and it would be easy, but that's so boring and I hate all black fits for the most part. Lighter colored shoes seem the way to go and those aren't perfect but it's not like we all have infinite shoe choices at our disposal. You can always shop specifically for a pair that will look good with that outfit, but that's dedication.

You can buy directly from them, but if you´re somehow unable then maybe use something like sutocorp. I dealt with them once to buy something from the Lad store and had a very smooth transcation.

Ok, I wanted to avoid customs (20% GBP is no joke).

I've looked at the proxy sites and they look awfully confusing (Im an idiot when it comes to stuff like this), so i checked to see if anyone would rather help me out for a small fee

Well you kind of have to respecv
I don't get why people are ******** on SZ. If you have any incentive to post there, you probably read some threads first and decided you might fit in.

Yeah I don't really agree with their philosophy, but I respect their ability to maintain their brand. I mean if Armani and all the usual luxury brands were readily accepted within SZ, would it still have the image it currently has? It's pretty smart of them to be so persistent, and it probably makes regular posts feel a bit special knowing the forum is more exclusive than others. Besides, it would be boring if all the fashion forums were the same, I like that I can always go on to SZ and have a decent idea of what to expect. Kind of like going to your regular diner and being able to order the same meal every time.

I've been reading what happened after Moo posted his fit. It's all full of incoherences. Not so short summary for the lazy:

Moo posts a fit wearing a leather jacket, black tee, Zam Barrett pants and CCP tornadoes, full black fit (well the boots have some interesting undertones). You can like or dislike how the clothes fit or the individual pieces or the photography but you can't get much more SZ-esque than that. But hey, someone likes the jacket and asks what it is. And it turns out to be Armani. Now Moo's fit is normcore. On ******* ZB and CCP clothes.

Someone argues that the jacket, regardless of the brand, fits in SZ aesthetics. But then Faust says it's about the ethos of the brand, not the look. Then someone else argues how come no one complained about a previous fit by a SZ-approved poster wearing SLP and Dior, and how those brands ethos set them apart from Armani. There's no response. It's just that you just don't get it.

The fact is, that despite all the "us vs them" distinction between nouveau-riche chinese or college kids on IG, or whatever other punching bag the forum's using, the way the waywt here, like on most other sites, works is really just a bunch of adults taking selfies and competing in a popularity contest based on what brands are in the hashtags or the brand-list, how many friends they have or how long they've been on here, or any number of intangible things that have next to nothing to do with how the outfit actually looks

Guys, maybe SZ isn't so different after all.

got no love for jps but any kind of designer sneaker would def be a step down

Stan Smiths (ubiquitous) would be fine, even the designer versions. All-white GATS would also be ok. Bigger/more in your face (say Balenciaga) no.

peir styled the same shirt with stans and it looks fine.

agreed, and i don't understand the point of going on one forum to disparage another. obviously people post here because of interest here rather than in other factions, all for a variety of reasons that needn't be expanded upon.

Hit me with a suggestion.

I think a pair of Spring Court B2s would be a good choice - slightly wider last, still has a chunky toe-cap like the purcells but without the "smile", and a slightly more substantial sole, all of which pair better with wide trousers

P.S - Post some pics when your pre-orders come in!

@fuuma i find the balenciaga pleated lows quite subtle actually. stans would be ok too. i guess i feel a leather sneaker wld be better rather than canvas.
