I think a shawl collar sweater like this works well with something double breasted (DB kinda mimics the folded over shape of the shawl collar to me) and a little old-timey/rugged, with a softer-shaped lapel/collar. Something like a peacoat.

Agree the scarf looks good with it!

Seeing Touki Bouki at Anthology Film Archives today wearing Loro Piana, Lemaire, Harley of Scotland, Lemaire, and Lemaire; plus a Lemaire x Filt bag.

At the coffeeshop before watching Inland Empire tonight. Wearing Lemaire, Banana Republic and Blundstones, plus a Lemaire bag. I'd like to wear this coat with the collar down like this more frequently.
