The wax I make is quite firm and softens in a tin in my pocket. That way, it has a firm hold on my mustache when it cools 🤓

I have the budget Frizmworks version of the Karakoram parka. I’ve never quite been willing to fork out the $$$$ for the Cabourn Everest.
Yeah the Frizmworks Karakoram seems like a great value. Have any outfit pictures of that one?

Sounds like your wax is similiar to the one I use. Firehouse Wacky Tacky. Very firm and stiff, even water won't get rid of the strong hold.

been a chill winter of wearing the same few things, apparently. Really, a whole year of wearing the same few things, which has been enjoyable in a lot of ways. I took a break from kopping in 2022 but still found myself reaching for a narrow range of things - those that can be worn hard or worn while cycling (so shorter jackets and not long coats).

On the rare days I wasn't doing either of those it seems I tended to reach for my Kaptain Sunshine orange traveler, followed by Camoshita bal, which checks out in terms of "favorites". Frank Leder FW15 Great Coat got some wear, too. Mostly missing from the rotation but making an appearance below are CK205W49NYC cashmere joint (wore this to a wedding but I can recall a few other days out with it too), another CK205 exploded blackwatch overcoat (only once for a walk on Christmas), Naissance orange boa overcoat (this definitely got a bunch of wears in late fall, though).
