interesting. the lines on top of that shoulder look crisp as can be to me. the "wrinkling" on the shoulder where the arm attaches is spalla and is intentional. its the only jacket i have that has spalla. i dont love it or hate it, and its neat to have one jacket with that finishing.

i am a fairly big/broad shouldered fellow, so i prefer as little padding and/or structure to my jacket shoulders or they look football-player-esque to me. do you find my jacket shoulders in general to lack in cleanliness of line?

I think that shoulder looks great. it is not too structured and it isnt too soft to me.

i like it.

Synth I'd like that a lot more with your Raf linen jacket or something but I think warmth would probably be an issue.

Pants are darker than the pictures convey and have white speckling. Similar to the ute basecamp salt and pepper but its a cotton/wool/silk blend as is very comfy with a tie waist!

Might put the ute pair up for sail (paging severtish!)

One of my favorite fits from you :) can someone explain what's the deal with the puckering at the shoulders though?

thanks, MM!!

sorry i missed your post, but parker nailed the answer better than i could have.

that's the CM equivalent of stacking

srsly though, it's a southern italian thing. sewing jacket shoulders like a shirt, aka "spalla camicia" -- more here.

Benesyed's glasses remind me of Nicky Barnes.

Still kind of on the fence about these bombers.

I feel like synth's shearling would be good in his fit, but he did post a while back about feeling too much like a literal space captain...
