It has the most impressive looking hardware of any piece I own. All the zips are those over-sized, highly-polished Riri ones. I'm not sure if they're actually better or not, but they certainly look far more impressive than the custom YKK ones used on Julius leathers.

Riri M8 on the main and M6 on the auxiliary zips? They are probably Ruthinium color, which is high polish gunmetal color with a deep sheen, they do look cool. They are about 2-3X more than a good YKK, and Julius is Japanese, so their swtich to YKK was a no-brainer for them. The European brands manufacturing in Italy or continental Europe get the advantage of domestic Riri distribution, but even so, a lot of them are using the cheap RY's and Lampos nowadays. YKK makes a super high line zipper called Excella that is probably on par with Riri or possibly even better, but it's rare to see it show up on anything.

thanks pete! it was a fun time but considering the nature of the event the ride itself was pretty brutal. a shitload of hills towards the end, not exactly "leisurely." you better be at the next tweed ride though!

Uncontrol I really hope you have as much of a Kate Bush affliction as you should so that you can appreciate your lady's resemblence (though it's not there as much in that last picture)
