Stitches.
This is excellent. Perfect, even.
I request that you Do Not Taper Those Pants.
Cheers.

thanks hendrix, that brightened my mood. glad the fit resonated with you.

maybe its an issue with the kicks?
the way the pants fit is sorta remiciscent of how bert rocks his pants (which is kinda how i like to too, extra length for frumpiness)

idk, im still trying things out. it definitely has a frumpy look to it, which is usually not how i like my pants, but im giving this a shot.

looks good stitches. one more vote for tapering the pants

lol. thanks, steve.

im not sure if i wanna taper them or not, and anyways, they are stupid comfortable. its possible that if i cant figure out other stuff to pair with them for pics, that they may be relegated to the group of my clothing that i wear often simply for comfort, but never photograph. they make for great lounging around pants. also i think they are really cool. : )

Stitch: My simple solution is just add one of your navy dress pants for Margialish effect with the boots. All navy up top, gray bottom

thats actually a pretty cool idea. as a matter of fact, at the NMWA show on sunday, unbel was trying on my coat and he was wearing gray flannels, and i thought, huh, that looks kind of cool. thanks, regis.

in the meanwhile, i ordered a pair of gray and a pair of black 511s. at 40 bucks each and with easy returns, i had to at least try.

No problem man. I do it all the time, comes out nicely. Another small variation is something like this

It's definitely one of my crazier thrift store finds. Seems to be from the 1970s, from a Hong Kong tailor, and has mother of pearl buttons.

you will get way more use out dark grey/black jeans than lighter grey jeans

I'd 100% disagree with this. I wear grey jeans all the time, don't wear my black ones that often.

I think you overpaid. I've seen levi's jeans like that for 25 bucks a pop at local TJmaxs/marshalls/Nordy Rack.
