Having trouble staying responsible with spending

Not that they're plentiful locally, but one could be sourced with a reasonable wait if any.

Speaking of moons, this I like:

I like the huge moon on this, and the smaller one on the "True Moon". What I don't like is the case shapes of most of their range - big and clunky and obvious for a very "modern" look that seems similar to a lot of new/reinvented brands (Perrelet, Eberhard, etc etc etc). And the prices, from 5-15k, are so directly in Rolex, IWC, JLC and a dozen others' territory, that I just can't see their watch being the one I'd pick.

That said, if I had to buy one, I'd almost certainly go for one of these big crazy moons, because it's so different to anything else. So inherently, it's likable, Practically, it's not so buy-able.

Just bought a vintage Rolex Oysterdate for myself (which will arrive soon), to go along with the Rolex I just bought for my wife (which arrives tomorrow). Pics of the latter when it arrives tomorrow, wrist shots (of the both together) will have to wait until May.

anybody have nay experience with junghans? worth the money? thoughts on the aesthetic?

Fiance has one of the manual Max Bill models. QUite nice - I like the aesthetic a lot!

Movements tend to be rather standard - and as such fairly reliable. Not sure what they are currently using though - so investigate that.

Resale value is a bit more problematic - you do pay a bit of a premium for the aesthetic as it is sold at the MOMA store and the like

There's the rub. Many of A&S' other pieces are pretty low end, so if you're going to shell out $11k, maybe you want to look around - then the more you look the more you wonder....then your buying urge grinds to a halt. Which may not be a bad thing.

Pretty sure Frank's wearing a Portuguese Chrono there, but I have also seen him wear a blue/dark face Portofino. That show is full of IWC product placements (on Frank). Nothing wrong with that; I just happen to agree with you that he could wear more subtle pieces. Here's a better pic:

Finally caught up on a weekend of TWAT goodness. I will offer a couple of thoughts:

Hard to photograph: My BLNR is this way. It is much more appreciated in the flesh though the Rolex product photo somehow catches it all but I assume there was a lot of touch ups to makes the watch look its best and it does.

Watch Sale: Great pick ups! Two very beautiful pieces and a 35% discount would be tough to resist if you have had your eye on something lately.

Fleece with AP: I wear my BLNR with anything though I feel an AP is best at more dressed up situations unless it is a ROO.

Reliability: Dino, didn't the Ferrari 355 from the 90s has a ton of issues and that is dropping bigger $$ that just on your wrist? Just ribbing you since you have fine taste in autos.

Although only 40mm, it wears very, very large. Although it is unfortunate I did not have the chance to see the manual wind 40mm, I think I saw enough lovely watches for the day! I will have to check it out though, as I love the eccentric subdial.

I think that your revision of my metaphor pretty much hits the nail on the head.

And thank you very much for your wishes. I am clearly in a state of indecision. But of course, that is part of the fun! I am sure next week I will be back on the RO train. Your picture the other day did nothing to help my case.
