BNIB IWC Big Pilot 5009-01. Damn this is one stiff strap! Gonna get plenty of wrist time to break it in (on days I don't wear a suit that is LOL). Thanks to all for the encouragement, enthusiasm, and compliments!

TC Congrats on your new watch!  Enjoy it in good health!

Thanks man, I know it's not your favorite of the IWC offerings, but it has been on my bucket list and I just had to satisfy my curiosity about it! :) Really appreciate your advice through the process nonetheless!

Dang, that is still a substantial kop! Very nice! I bet that is a heck of a fun watch to wear on a daily basis.

And for the guys in Houston, I should be in H-town soon, maybe have a meet-up?

TC - Con-F*cking-grats!!! The Big Pilot is a watch that got me into loving watches until I tried one on at the store only to realize my wrists can't handle the Big Boy but would have to get the smaller (though cheaper!) one.

Excellent TC!

Thanks gentlemen!

Thanks! I'm going to try to wear it as often as I can, but it won't work with a suit, so definitely not a daily. :)

And yes definitely on the meet up!

Thanks! I hear you. I have a 7.25" wrist and the Big Pilot is the max I would go. I have tried the watch once in the store for about 90 seconds and I have to admit I was a little shocked at the size when I took it out of the box today. I just didn't remember it being quite so tall in the case. I think it works tho, and Mrs. TC loved it. It's getting a lot more comfortable as the strap is beginning to curve to my wrist. Loving it!

I'm about to head out to the Rockets/Lakers game with a client who is a huge watch guy. He doesn't know about any of my recent kops so I can't decide whether to wear the new AP RO or the IWC BP. I'm leaning toward the BP because there will be many cocktails involved and this is a watch I am not scared to bang into something. :)
